According to the letter from the Intellectual Property Office, Ministry of Economic Affairs, R.O.C., we are promoting this memo to infer our staffs and students to use genuine textbooks (including second-hand books). For not violating the copyright of others, please do not copy the books or materials illegally.
 
1.According to the law of Intellectual Property, the owners of works own the right of reproducing. As copying is a way of reproducing, copying the work of others, besides the reasonable behaviors based on 44th~ 55th regulations in Intellectual Property Law, should ask for the owner’s permission or be authorized.
 
2.College students’ behavior that copying domestic or foreign books in whole or in pages has already beyond the edge of reasonable using and constitutes a violation of copyright. Once prosecuted by the right holder, one might be charged with criminal and civil responsibility. For strengthening the respect for the rights of intelligence, please infer colleges and universities to guide and remind students using genuine books (including second-hand books) and do not copy illegally. So as to avoid the risk of break the law.
